Wouldn’t you like to be a Pepper, too?
I have not been guilty of any panic buying. I am down to my last roll of toilet paper, although a co-worker is going to give me some tomorrow. When I was at United Grocery Outlet the other day, they were selling six-packs of paper towels, and that seemed like panic buying, but there was literally no other option — you never know what you’re going to find at UGO on any given day, and they didn’t have any singles or double-roll packs, just the six packs. And I needed toilet paper.
Anyway, today I bought two 12-packs of soda, when one might have sufficed. But it still wasn’t panic buying.
I love Diet Dr Pepper, and I love cream soda, and so I have wanted to try Diet Dr Pepper & Cream Soda (or even the non-diet version) since I first heard of the product several weeks ago, in the Before Times.
Speedway on Madison Street literally has posters on the front door and inside the store touting the fact that it has the latest new soft drink flavors, and Dr Pepper & Cream Soda is prominently featured on every one of those posters. However, when I checked on Friday they did not actually have any of the product, either diet or non-diet, on their shelves. And there were no empty slots near the regular Dr Pepper that might have indicated the new product had been there recently.
