I do community theatre. When I was in "My Three Angels" (from the same source material as the classic film "We're No Angels"), I did a French accent that was more Pepe LePew than Maurice Chevalier. I also had a standard New Yawk accent that I pulled out for three different productions; it wasn't as broadly, offensively bad as the French accent, but it was probably about 25 percent as good as I thought it was at the time. My brother and SIL adored the series "The Closer," but for me, Kyra Sedgwick's southern accent was so fake I could never get past it.
