Good machine (I think), but bad manual
Amazon should have spent some more dough on documentation

A bread maker is a wonderful thing, and a lot of people don’t even realize they exist. This is a countertop appliance that bakes a loaf of bread. You dump the ingredients into a pan, shut the door and push the start button. The machine mixes and kneads the dough, allows it to rest, kneads it again, allows it to rise, and then bakes it. About two hours after you hit the “start” button your home (in my case, an apartment) begins to smell absolutely wonderful. Three hours after pressing the button, you have a fresh, hot loaf of bread.
Unpanning the bread is the one inelegant part of the process. You have to remove the pan from the machine and then hold it upside down and try to shake the loaf out. Sometimes, the mixing paddle in the bottom of the pan lodges itself in the loaf and you have to pry it out once the bread has cooled a bit. Whether the paddle leaves the pan or not, there will be a hole or indention of some sort in the bottom of the loaf.
But that’s a small price to pay for this kitchen miracle. Homemade bread in three hours, with zero effort.
