A fun collection -- but the Louvin Brothers really were foundational performers in country who've been cited as influential even by some rock royalty. Late in his life, Charlie Louvin moved from his home in Alabama to the little rural county where I live, about an hour's drive from Nashville, so that he could be closer to the Opry but still in the country. I got to meet him two or three times. On one of those occasions, he was a nice as could be, and on one of the others, he seemed like "who are you and why should I bother to talk to you?"
