A faith-based look at social media

In March, I left my job at the Shelbyville Times-Gazette, after 34 years, for a job with county government.

One of the nice things about working for a small-town paper is that it’s easy to do an opinion column when you have an axe to grind. In the years since the Internet, and then social media, have become part and parcel of our lives, I wrote several columns that touched on issues like political polarization, misinformation, and posturing or sloganeering as a substitute for real-world piety or patriotism.
